Setting goals definitely works. About two-three years ago I had some goals in mind, I didnt write them down, but they were always in my thoughts, so I worked my ass off. Now that I think about it, the three main goals I had I accomplished, and I also saw that as I accomplished the goals I had set for myself, I started to relax and not reach for new ventures as much.

Having goals definitely keeps you motivated to keep working. Im setting new goals this week and getting back into a nice work mode. :thumbsup

Funny how you ignore the question about where your traffic is coming from. You could be getting it from adwords etc....which would make your real profit numbers a little differant. I can look at domains names that appear in google SERP's to see who is pulling in SE traffic, what is yours? You dont have to say cuz i dont give a fuck enough to be a hater.

aha its just a sales text! sorry i didnt knew the term pre selling... and yes i use that already, on my free sites mostly. On my galleries i also use text links, but with big letters and simple sentences to make them draw the attention of the surfer quickly.

Hey Everyone,

I usually spend a lot my time networking and building relationships at another board. But, I felt the need to jump in here and back up my boy Pornhero. You see, I've known Pornhero way before he became Pornhero. I've known the guy for the better part of 10 years now and I can honestly say to you that he is NOT as full of shit as you might think. I repeat, he's not full of shit at all. :)

I remember when he first got the "crazy" notion of getting into this business. He and I met in a completely different field altogether. I remember him showing me his very first Pornhero site. I remember how he came up with the marketing ideas, I remember the day he found his logo!

Then it began to snowball from there. I'd go visit him at his place that at the time he shared with someone he really cared about. Unfortunately, that relationship didn't work out. However, He stuck to his guns. He sacrificed alot of time and INVESTED a lot of energy building and building and building. All the while he kept telling me to "...get into this business, man. You can do it. Believe in yourself and your goals will be realized if you work and work and work."

Although at first I thought he just went mother fucking crazy but something struck a nerve within me sometime later on and I began to LISTEN to him. He was constantly working on his business. He put in hours at first while he was working at his other J-O-B ("Remember that line guy guy?") and as time went by and he began to achieve "critical mass" and make more and more, he became more and more determined. Sometimes I would call him up just to see how my buddy was doing all the while knowing full well he was either busy bulding or he was either busy building or he was sleeping.

When he did reach $2000/month he told me of his next goal: $20,000/month. Once I again, I thought to myself "this guy is mother fucking crazy" and he's probably on the verge of a melt down. For the next year or so after that I would go over to his place and instead of doing stupid shit like most buddies do when they get together, Pornhero would teach me about SEO and targetting search terms and linklists and so on. At first I was completely clueless. I was a Project Engineer for Magna in Toronto that was quickly beginning to burn me out from all the travelling and total lack of on the job appreciation. And then I got involved this cuban piece of shit (By the way, Pornhero WARNED ME, practically BEGGED ME not to get involved with her - I didn't listen and it cost me - Big Time - but that's another story altogether) trying to make a business deal or two and in the end it didn't pan out and I got fucked in more ways than I care to remember about.

Fast forward a little later on and I began to hear things like "learn html and learn some javascript" and whatever you don't know "I will answer your questions for you" - which he did. By this time now, Pornhero introduced me to his stats remote and the lovely "cha-ching" sound it would make on a re-bill or PPS sale or what not. I would go over to his place JUST to hang out with my buddy and watch a movie or something and then he would ask me "how's the html working out" or "have you even STARTED yet?" and he would start to show signs of real exasperation with me, all the while I hear in the background "cha-ching" - and see him smiling like the cat that ate the canary.

I was confused. I didn't know an opening tag from a hole in the ground or what the fuck was ftp? I was inundated with so much information I felt helpless and I was beginning to fell overwhelmed. It didn't matter to him because he would always say the same thing to me: "Learn this, guy guy. Even if you only spend 15-20 minutes a day, it will pay off down the road." Pornhero 3 Pornrex 0.

Pornhero is wise beyond his years. Whatever he recommended that I do or apply to my repetoire, I did and it worked. Pornhero 4 Pornerx still 0. I also have to tell you that Pornhero is 4 years my junior so that score is more like Pornhero 400 Pornrex 0. :1orglaugh

I will fast forward to Nov 28th, 2003. That was the day I built my very first freesite. All of you that first get into this game I'm sure know the feeling of accomplishment and triumph when you complete your first freesite. He was the first person I called. It took me two and a half weeks to finish mine. But I did it. I turned the corner. I was now and adult webmaster...sort of.

I didn't realize then what I was getting into but it was better than what my life was like, I'll tell you this much. Pornhero 485 Pornrex 1 I was finally on the scoreboard.

Well, this past summer I went full-time and I too haven't looked back. I would still go over to his place and he would still teach me stuff and of course it was always miles ahead of what I had learned but deep down it started to stick to me. I was learning. I still am in many many many ways but I was learning and applying what I have learned - I AM NOT ABOUT TO STOP.

Since this past summer I have re-vamped my own links hub several times. I would ask Pornhero "what do you think?" and of course he would say its good this or good that but he always INSISTED that I keep doing more and more each and every day.

"In order to get serious about THIS or any business Pornrex, you are going to have become dedicated and KEEP building. And keep building I do. I am on pace to hit that very same FIRST level he hit ($2000 for this March) and I am licking my fucking chops for it. :pimp

I have ideas in my head that I only wish I had the capacity to transfer onto paper or something in order to retain them. But, I also realize that since I do build and submit almost everyday (if not everyday), my goals will be realized that much sooner - exactly as he told me.

I've lurked for quite sometime in this board. I honestly can say that Pornhero REALLY is the only person that I do know in here aside from a few others that I talk to that I know from other boards. To be quite honest, I really don't think they kick ass like he does - I've seen his statsremote - his numbers are indeed real.

And for those of you that don't believe him - let me be the first to tell you that he's not lying. He has mentored me from day one until he became friggin' purple faced for it. :1orglaugh

But, its starting to happen to me too. I too have learned quite a bit NOT only from Pornhero but also on my own. I too have invested in a "statsremote" and configured it to make the "cha-ching" sound whenever I get a sale/re-bill as well. :2 cents:

So, to people like devilspost that doubt and even scoff at what Pornhero has written thus far, the joke is on all of YOU. :1orglaugh The guy knows his shit and he applies his shit. He, you might even say, IS the shit. :winkwink:

Anyhow, I'm gonna go strategize my next course of action and get ready for my next freesite that I will build and submit in Pornhero-esque fashion.
