DUTCH PEOPLE: negotiated lower cheque cashing fees with your bank?

Hey,

I'm wondering if any of you made any deals with your bank and asked for lower cheque cashing fees? If so, how much are you paying per cheque now and how many cheques do you have to cash each month to get these lower fees? And which bank do you use. I'm still paying the standard fees, wondering if there are any big guys paying less than me.

Thanks,
Mike

Make sure to not mention "adult" it sure won't help your cause

(My check fees were low, but are high since they "found out")

How much were you paying before they found out and how much now (if you don't mind me asking)?

They already know I'm in adult and they don't care.

A couple of years ago when I cashed my cheques at a small bank in small village I pad allmost nothing, they wanted to keep me there as a client and they would negotiate with me. Then I moved to Amsterdam, and they aks way to much. So now I do it with wires, epass and a friend with an american bank account

Cool, is this a negotiated fee or just the standard fee?

Yeah, I've heared about checkusout but I don't trust them with so much money. You need to make the cheques payable to checkusout and then mail them all the cheques at the end of the month?

2checkout is something different ;)

you can send checks once a week if you want, I've been doing this for a year now, never had any problems...
Around christmas they had problems with their American Bank, who didn't want to cash checks for 3rd parties no more, so every check needs to have their name on it.. I've made the changes and I still get my money every week

I even visited the guy from checkusout a while ago and chatted for a while

Not sure what kind of small cheques you're getting but mine are definitely worth cashing in

Your sites in your sig are down by the way, maybe that's why you're getting such small cheques?

I guess it's ING with 7 euro's then.. but I'm sure that's not their regular fee..
think most banks charge 12 euro or even more these days

I remember it was fl 7,50.. much better

Yup I'm using them too, the guys respond to e-mails within a few hours and have never missed a payment. Try them with a few lower checks first if you wanna test the waters

the reason the checks have to be made out to them is because their bank is not accepting third party checks anymore. Really give them a try sometime it will save you time and money
