My bot/spider visits yesterday:
2 50% Googlebot (Google)
1 25% Inktomi Slurp
1 25% Mediapartners Google

Soooooooooo, I am assuming this is a good thing. *grin* I know some of you are geniuses with SE stuff.....anyone have any input?

thats the right idea

... now u just need to build up some higher ranked links so googlebot comes back more often ;)

Yeah, I really don't have shit for links yet..I didn't figure anyone would want to trade links until I have more crap going on on my site. It's still new..I feel like it's my baby though, lol, I'm so excited about everything that happens to it, lol.

I'm fairly confident that Googlebot (and others) don't visit just as a function of how many inbounds you have or anything else. It's a function of how often you update your content. (probably combined with how popular your site is, but largely based on update frequency).

if every time it shows up, your site is up, and has new stuff... it might check more frequently. It's not just running around blindly following every link though.

I've heard that elsewhere...I also heard that SEs love things like mambo and phpnuke because it's almost constantly changing.
