Oh! I wish there was a way to get her to me in Mexico! I would take her in a sec! I've been looking for a friend for my cat :) She is just sooo cute, even all messed up and injured ;)

And my cat, Mr. Parker Louis, was hit by a car almost 3 years ago...We found him under a house dying, everyone said "put him to sleep". I couldn't do that and since the vet wanted to kill him, we had to do it ourselves and babied him and loved him and now he is the BEST cat in the world! The inside of his left hind leg was exposed to the shattered bone and he had lost alot of blood. We cleaned the wound, gave him shots of antiiotics and kept him warm.....now he walks with a limp and since we've had him, he has been an inside cat. It took a long time for him to heal completely. They really do appreciate all you do for them :)

Aww, If I could take the kittie I would but my mom and I just took in a stray who is pregnant and whos two older kittens still live outside and visit for food.
My cat zo was also given up by someone who couldnt take care of her. In the past when I was a kid we adopted a kittie named simba. When we found him he had the skin on his back ripped open and infected. All the kids would harrass him because they said he had rabies. But really what happened was that he got attaked by something. Probably a dog. We took him in and after a few months his back healed and he became the most loving kittie ever. he could tell when someone was sick and would stay with them the entire time they were ill (i had surgury when i was 13 and he stayed with me non stop for weeks) We would actualy loan him out to friends that were ill too. |

Platinumpimp, I'm with you. The GFY animal lovers came forward.
I didn't hear about Turf Kitty until today. I have a friend in the LA area who is known as the *cat lady.* She has 35 cats which live at her home. She takes them to the Vet, gets their shots, and finds homes for them. About the time the total number decreases, more homeless cats are dropped off on her doorstep. Her Vet volunteers his time and money to give them medical care. She has never gotten donations from anyone. It can be a very expensive venture, but she loves animals. As Dig pointed out, there are many wonderful animals at the shelters who need homes. |
