When we first made the ads it took some time to get a big enough pool of members who would approved their photos for the ads. At the time we approved all the females that submitted photos.

I've just removed some of the "less marketable" ones.

Bull Shit!!

I've tested loading the geo ads using proxies from different cities and different countries. The girls must be collecting a huge amount of frequent flyer miles, as the same girls seem to be showing up in cities all over the world.

Plus, isn't it kinda strange that when you do a search for ANY of the girls in the geo ads every single one of them has "removed their profile", but aff always provides "some others you may be interested in".

Frankly, if I was a customer and I actually did give permission to use my pic I would be plenty pissed to find out that I was being misrepresented.

After we rolled-out version 1.0 of the geo-ads, some people on this board gave us shit because they weren't real members. We wanted to get the ads live ASAP, we made a content choice. No, not really.

When a member gives us permission to use their images, we commit the user name and thumbnail to a separate file, stored in a location different from where we store the member-updatable data. If a member changes their handle or quits the site, we don't get an update of that immediately. As a result, you may sometimes not be able to find a member handle from a geo ad in our DB. This is simply an IT matter, not an ethical choice.

These people have given us specific permission to use their images for general marketing purposes. We never promised them we wouldn't say they're from Dayton when they're really from Des Moines.
