I apparently own lots of .info domains w/o paying anything

WTF? I just sold a nice non-adult domain name for $1200 and just before pushing the domain to the escrow holding area, I noticed that some tard had registered the .info name. Upon a quicky WHOIS on the .info, I realised that tard was me

Ehm, but I know have some relapses of tardness, but to register a .info? It was registered by enom, which I use a bit, so I logged in to my a/c but nope, it's not shown. Then I remembered something a while ago about domain registrars giving out free .info names. Sure enough, a quick whois on all my eNom .coms show I own the .info as well.

Well, blow me over. I'm now affiliated with this shite.

Anyone wanna buy some .infos?

Problem is, as they don't show up in my actual eNom a/c, ehm sending em on to their lucky new owner will not be possible

Welcome to last year. Enom registered about one million (1,000,000) .info domains during the last week or so of September 2004. They undoubtedly did so through the free .INFO promotion at the time, and they registered the .INFO names with the names and contact details of the owners of corresponding .COM domains under Enom's control.

Here is what you need to do to accept the promotional .INFO Enom registered for you on your behalf:

1) login to your account
2) go to MY DOMAINS
3) click the PROMOTION tab
4) select which names you want to Activate and add them to your cart (checkout is free)

It's not hard - I own .coms with eNom and for every once of those domains, a WHOIS lookup on the corresponding .info shows I own that as well. Yet the domain .info domain does not resolve, nor do I have any control over it, so how can it be listed as belonging to me?

Thanks - I am surely delayed in these matters, not that it at all bothers me!
Any 'free giant domain giveaway' promotion contest just proves the domain TLD's worth imo.

Yeah, using them is better than not... or you could always throw them on ebay for a few trinkets.

Nope. All of the free promotions are over... however many registrars are still charging very low prices for new .INFO registrations.

For example, Enom is at $1.99. And their re-sellers are low priced also: Namecheap is $2.88 and Registerfly is $2.99.
