Jesus is not the messiah.
I think it's interesting that Christian's so often decide to tell the world about Jewish prophecies about the Messiah. Christians say the messiah is Jesus and that the Jews just refuse to believe it. However, since Jews should know more about their own prophecies than other groups I decided to find out WHY they say Jesus is the Messiah. On the Jews for Judaism website I found the following very interesting facts: MESSIAH: THE CRITERIA Judge for yourself: Did Jesus fulfill ALL these criteria? The Jewish tradition of "The Messiah" has its foundation in numerous biblical references, and understands "The Messiah" to be a human being - without any overtone of deity or divinity - who will bring about certain changes in the world and fulfill certain criteria before he can be acknowledged as "The Messiah". First of all, he must be Jewish - "...you may appoint a king over you, whom the L-rd your G-d shall choose: one from among your brethren shall you set as king over you." (Deuteronomy 17:15) He must be a member of the tribe of Judah - "The staff shall not depart from Judah, nor the sceptre from between his feet..." (Genesis 49:10) To be a member of the tribe of Judah, the person must have a biological father who is a member of the tribe of Judah. He must be a direct male descendant of King David and King Solomon, his son - "And when your days (David) are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall issue from your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will make firm the throne of his kingdom forever..." (2 Samuel 7:12 - 13) The genealogy of the New Testament is inconsistent. While it gives two accounts of the genealogy of Joseph, it states clearly that he is not the biological father of Jesus. One of the genealogies is through Nathan and not Solomon altogether! He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel -"And he shall set up a banner for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." (Isaiah 11:12) Are all Jews living in Israel? Have all Jews EVER lived in Israel since the time of Jesus? He must rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem - "...and I will set my sanctuary in their midst forever and my tabernacle shall be with them.." (Ezekiel 37:26 - 27) At last check, there is NO Temple in Jerusalem. And worse, it was shortly after Jesus died that the Temple was DESTROYED! Just the opposite of this prophecy! He will rule at a time of world-wide peace - "...they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Micah 4:3) Have you seen a newspaper lately? Are we living in a state of complete world peace? Has there ever been peace since the time of Jesus? He will rule at a time when the Jewish people will observe G-d's commandments - "My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow My ordinances and be careful to observe My statutes." (Ezekiel 37:24) The Torah is the Jewish guide to life, and its commandments are the ones referred to here. Do all Jews observe all the commandments? Christianity, in fact, often discourages observance of the commandments in Torah, in complete opposition to this prophecy. He will rule at a time when all people will come to acknowledge and serve one G-d - "And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, says the L-rd" (Isaiah 66:23) there are still millions if not billions of people in the world today who adhere to paganistic and polytheistic religions. It is clear that we have not yet seen this period of human history unfold. All of these criteria are best stated in the book of Ezekiel Chapter 37 verses 24-28: And David my servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. they shall also follow My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Yaakov my servant, in which your fathers have dwelt and they shall dwell there, they and their children, and their children's children forever; and my servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them, it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, which I will give them; and I will multiply them and I will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. And my tabernacle shall be with them: and I will be their G-d and they will be my people. Then the nations shall know that I am the L-rd who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary will be in the midst of them forevermore. If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be "The Messiah." A careful analysis of these criteria shows us that to date, no one has fulfilled every condition. Certainly NOT Jesus. |

First off, Muslims love Jesus just as much as Christians do... May Peace Be Upon All The Prophets And Deliverers Of The Word Of God The difference is, Muslims don't view Jesus as God (The Father/Creator Of All), as many christians do (some do, some don't) I love christians and jews and all men who do not seek to opress me Do you know what language Jesus spoke? The Answer Is Aramaic Aramaic is the sister language of Arabic... Do you want to know the word for God in the Aramaic language It is "Allaha" Do you know what word is listed for God in Bibles that have been translated for the Arab nations.. The Answer Is "Allah" Allah means "The God Of All" As a muslim, I feel the responsibility to drop some knowledge on you.... Many Americans (I previously being one of them) are very IGNORANT about Islam Muslims do not worship Mohammed, Muslims worship The God Of The Prophets The Creator Of This World That We Live In, The Most Generous, The Giver Of All Blessings We Have Ever Recieved.. Let's go over some facts.. Mohammed said that he was a prophet, he spoke that we should uphold the 10 commandments, his gave praise to Jesus, and all the prophets that came before him..(here is a short list, Adam, Noah, Solomon, Moses, and others) Jesus said he was a prophet like that of Moses before him Did you know Muslims read the bible as well as the Quran? Did you know the bible has been edited so many times that the point that complete phrases have been added to replace what was originally there... For example the verse "For god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son" That phrase "only begotten son" was added by St. Philip I believe in about the 9 th century.. The orginal text read "gave his unique son" not "only begotten.. Don't take my word for it.. This is coming from older bibles that were found in caves in the 1940's and 1950's... That existed centuries before man's editing hand.... Furthermore... It is written in the bible that after Mary (not the virgin mary) saw Jesus after his resurrection, he told her that he was ascending to "my father and your father"... does these words mean that Mary was the daughter of God? Think about it? and come to your own conclusions... I feel that God created us all... He is the heavenly father the creator of the heavens and the earth and all that will ever "be"... Ok.. Let's also look at the bible, did you know that Adam is refered to in the bible as a Son Of God... Surely Adam came before Jesus, but will you call Adam "The Son Of God" such as you call Jesus? Also... In Conclusion.. Did you know that Jesus prayed that the people on may have another comforter after his time on earth... Did you know that after the first prayer that Jesus spoke that the comforter would come? The comforter is referred to as "The Spirit of the Truth" and that he will speak not of his own words, but of what he hears from God In Islam, Muhammed is recognized as the spirit of the truth that Jesus prayed for and confirmed that would be sent.. Also for clarification purposes "the spirit of the truth" is referred to as "he" and not it, spirits have no male or female attributes.. Also... I see that you wrote that you see Jesus as God... Now let me ask you something.. Do you remember the conversation when a man called Jesus Good Teacher, and Jesus corrected that man said "Why do you call me Good?" "Only The Father Is To Be Called Good" he corrected told that man.. Here is a glaring statement and confession by Jesus himself that he was not God... Also if you believe Jesus was God.. 2 big things for you to think about.... God created all.. God is all powerful.. Do you remember that it is written that Satan tempted Jesus in the desert? God can not be tempted my brother... Satan surely wouldn't waste time trying to tempt the All Powerful God.. Do you also know that Jesus went to a fig tree looking for food because he was hungry, but there were no figs on that tree to be found, do you not think that God would have known if there were figs on the tree or not? Just something for you to think about... Also, before Jesus was taken into custody do you not know that Jesus prayed throughout the night seeking comfort in the Holy Father? The Most High, The Most Powerful, The Sustainer, The Most Generous has no need to send a prayer... God is the reciever of prayers, and the reciever of worship I conclude this long post now.. Tonight, I will say my prayers to The God Of All The God who sent all the prophets, The God Of Abraham, The God Of Jesus, and Mohammedl Allah! Who will you pray to? For knowledge http://www.mostmerciful.com http://www.themodernreligion.com Oh and for all people who all people who will look at "terrorists" as a way of trying to invalidate Islam, let me remind you of those Lovely "Pilgrims" who killed the Native Americans, after the Indians helped them to survive in the wilderness, and those wonderful KKK who burned crosses in the yards of black people, and white people who helped in the civil rights movement |

The meaning of the word messiah in hebrew - is someone who lead the people. The jewish people leader was Mashiach in hebrew - what is greeks translated to you like messiah. The fact is - all you know about bible and old testament is what 8 non-educated greeks translated to you and you call this a Bible today. The original source of this bad translated book is a Torah which is not even one book but 5. So, they just make a one book from 5 - great job. So, there is a choice to read an original source or zipped version with "special fixed facts" in it. I just talking about history here not about religion. And no, aramaic language is not arabic in any case. The modern Iraq,Syria and all Middle-Eastern arabic countires were invided by arabs who came from Saudi Arabia long time after the aramaic language was spoken there. The similar words are just similar due to many hundred years arabs live in Middle East. |
