Ok fuck the question and answer shit. I am coding a script to detect hitbotters. The hitbotters will be exposed! Fuck them!

I will give out my hitbot detection software to several large sites secretly -- a full report of hitbotting motherfuckers will be reported a INTERNEXT and on all MESSAGE BOARDS!!!

how about you redirect all the traffic really quickly through 1 page, and then on to another page (your main page)
the hitbot will only get to the first page
kinda like a gateway, but automatic, and just use cookies...

Yeah bro but there is no way for a freesite to track sales from referrers at the moment. Maybe if *some* programs started to offer subaccounts for tracking we could do this -- but at the moment there is NO way for a freesite to track sales from individual referrers. Besides -- are you not going to trade links with anyone until they send you a sale? Sales tracking indicators are almost impossible to track for freesites! If advertisers gave a shit maybe they could help us do more tracking -- but they don't care because their bottom line doesn't change (in other words the hitbotters get the profits and the little guys don't)... Once again I'm reminded of the cookies incident with IBill!!! At the moment there is not a simple solution for freesites to track sales/referrers!!

I wonder, could you also give it to a freehost, and if so would the freehost be able to detect if say, on one of my free sites one of my trades is hitbotting me? That would be cool. You'd be helping not only the freehost but all the hundreds of webmasters hosted there too, in one shot.

I think when a hitbotter is found, we simply have a webmaster that is within close proximity pay them a visit with a large pipewrench in hand...and this is not my pipewrench gimmick talking ;)

I'd seriously love nothing more than to pay a little midnight visit to a hitbotter and smack them in their fucking head with a pipewrench....
we recently had to delay our blindclick program again due to a loophole we found that could be exploited by these fuckers...
