| I agree, mine have been so bad lately for some reason.. im gonna goto the doctor soon. I've had to pop some 'serious' pain killers to keep in under control. |

 Don't Focus on the Downside
If you play it right, you can acquire some most excellent pharmaceuticals when getting your wisdom teeth yanked (I even got a refill - SCORE!!!). I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, so after my surgery (where it seemed like I was getting my jaw broken, even though I felt no pain...anaesthesia = comfortably numb), I took half the prescribed dosage and slept a lot, thereby stockpiling lots of codeine pills, which I must say are amazing to take at a concert - especially with bands that play trippy music. Since it was awhile back when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I used my pills for Camel, Tangerine Dream, and Curved Air (obscure psychedelic bands). That was the best. Also fun were Joe Walsh, and believe it or not, Fleetwood Mac (they did like a 10-minute version of "The Chain" that seemed like it went on for an hour). See? Getting your wisdom teeth removed doesn't have to be all bad. ADG Webmaster |

Mine were compacted bad. I waited to long. I was hurting pretty bad. I heard horror stories. I sucked it up and had all four sugically removed one morning. I woke up during the surgery and grabbed the doctors arm to turn the anestia back up. he did! I got home from the surgery thinking I had made a mistake. I went to sleep and woke up just fine. I was back working and eating normal the next day. Get it done, its not bad.

 | Get it pulled. It's going ot get so much much much more painful if you let it stay in. I let mine that was bad stay in for 5 years, what a mistake. Going to get it yanked is easy. All you'll feel through the whole ordeal is a slight pinch when they cut the gum and a bit of a chalk board vs. nails feeling as they yank it out. You prolly won't even need pain killers afterwards. They prescribed some for me, yet I never even took them. Didn't need em. No pain at all. |

That's what I had, a compacted tooth. Hurt like a mutherfucker. near the end of it the pain was so bad that my jaw, neck and ears were stinging like they were on fire. the second it was out I was in pure heaven. It felt soooooo good having no more pain. it was so bad the day before that I was in tears and couldn't sleep.

 | I was put to sleep... the worst part was the IV, that really hurt A LOT. Well, my surgeon pulled out 4 teeth in 15 min...so it was pretty fast. I remember not being to really walk straight afterwards and wobbling, like I was drunk or something. My mouth was sore for a month afterward... I had a hard time opening my mouth wide. Plus you get these awful holes in your mouth where food gets stuck in; I still have mine from over 5 months ago. It healed up, but there are still small holes back there. I could not eat right for a week, I was sick until I ate some real food that was real chewable such as Sarah Lee poundcake and I had to swallow thin slices of ham to get some protein in my body. The Vicodin made me ill as hell, especiall since I did not eat solids the first day. And all this while stressing about if I would develop "dry socket". Read up on google about "dry socket" and wisdom teeth, you don't want that!! Luckily I did not get that. |

I remember that. I would get up in the middle of the night and it hurt to walk. I would take an "Aleive" and count down until the pain was gone.
