Why not buy a good DeLonghi (sp?) at a quarter of the cost and put the money saved toward a good water purification system (around $1k-$1.5k). That way your new expresso machine along with washing machine, dishwasher hot water tank will last oh, about 5 times longer :winkwink:

no but you have fun with that

I've been looking into it quite a lot lately since I will buy one soon. I will get an Incanto from Saeco since it has the new 12gr brew group, the only ones that has it... what I've seen at least. The other full auto espresso machines has only a 9gr brew group.

Saeco Incanto Sirius

Saeco Incanto Rondo SBS

Ppl think they can spend 200 and get a decent espresso machine, but they cant. Anything that doesnt produce 15 bar pressure and uses real arabica coffee doesnt make espresso, thats bout it.

Hey some ppl spend 1000 on shoes i spend it on coffee :)

Well I did go out buy a new one. that did do it as I like it it did not cost 1000 only hafe... :2 cents:

please please please do yourself a fav and read the comments on these machines, they look great but the brew groups are crap, most ppl say they use the same as jura does but thats not true, both gaggia and saeco look great, but read what the other guy said, 2 yrs and broken, they cost a lot and arent worth it...

50 espresso machines

Pornwolf 02-28-2005 02:12 PM

That's about 200 visits to starbucks for some premium java and ambiance. We're not even talking about the beans and the cleaning.

It's more cost effective to go to Starbucks or your local coffeehouse. Unless you are downing 2 cups of espresso daily, then I would suggest relaxing a bit man, you're too high strung.

The new brew group (SBS) is completely new and haven't even been around for 2 years :)

And yes, I've read comments about both machines and they've all been positive. I've read about some problems with some of the older machines, but the boiler has been redesigned since then.

" but read what the other guy said, 2 yrs and broken, they cost a lot and arent worth it... "

And if it breaks down in 2 years they will fix it for you since there's a 5 years warranty on it. Only ones who has that :)
