Tala, since you're looking to move out of Tennessee, I'm sure there are TONS of jobs that you can apply for. Start looking around online and you'll be fine.

Good luck is for those that believe in luck... you'll be moving in no time.

NaughtyRob 02-27-2005 05:19 PM

Bump for you Tala and good luck.

Tala 02-27-2005 05:41 PM

Thanks. I don't think I can remember feeling so lost.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope something even better comes along for you soon!

Tala 02-27-2005 06:27 PM

Thank you to everyone who has contacted me. You have no idea how much that means to me right about now.

I'll post a resume soon. I'm not looking for a marketing job - I'm just not great with that, I'm more of a writer/spokesperson type. The more I know about the product/service/niche, the better. I'm very adept with face to face meetings and love to travel. BDSM-oriented niches are my forte, though I'm very adaptable and can be taught quickly.

Again, thank you all so much. It's good to know that I have people who care about me.

ssp 02-27-2005 06:28 PM

Hire this woman! She has a great name in the industry and she is a great gain to any partner program out there.

reynold 02-27-2005 06:30 PM

I'm sorry to hear that, Tala. Wish you all the best. :)

Peaches 02-27-2005 06:31 PM

Damn, Tala - sorry to hear that about you and Chris :( If I hear of anything, I'll let you know!!

pornguy 02-27-2005 06:32 PM

Tala. We are working through a few issies here our selves, and I will tell you about them later. I think in 3 months or so, I may be able to help you out.
Just keep up on the other board.

I don't wanna trivialize what I'm sure is a difficult moment. You know we know poor, and how much it sucks. Some folks need that lesson. But I think you've got that one covered -- LOL (Love ya!). I don't know the man you're separating from -- never met him. So, I've got nothing to say about that. I will say this, however: I'd like to see you in the company of someone worthy to stand in the light you radiate. I want to see joy in your eyes. Remember that afternoon in the pool at InterNext-FL? Yeah, joy like that. Drunken frisbee in the pool joy, Tala. Go get some!

All I'm clinging to now is hope. I have a telephone interview Monday afternoon, and I'm just hoping beyond hope that I get that job. It would require me to move out to Palo Alto, but I'd be delighted to do it.

I appreciate everyone's support in this. To say that I'm devastated is an understatement as well. I'm still kinda in shock.

i also grew up near palo alto/lived at stanford for a bit - it's a beautiful part of the bay area, but quite pricey. if you can land a job there though i'm sure the compensation will be up there with the cost of living. good luck!

I'm hoping beyond hope right about now to land that job. Everything is still just so...I"m not sure how to describe it. :helpme

James White 02-27-2005 08:45 PM

Sorry to hear that Tala, best of wishes to you.

pornguy 02-27-2005 08:48 PM

I am amazed at how many people in this board brag and brag and brag about what they have, and show off their cars, and show off thier houses, and talk about traveling around the world, and throwing parties, and then when someone like you needs a job to help get her going in life again, no one can help.

Like I said. I have a few issues going on here that may cause some major problems for us, but if I can get them worked out, I will help you in any way that I can.

Thank you all so very much. I'm a complete emotional wreck at the moment, doing my very best to not break down and bawl...again.

I'm hoping it will get easier when he and I are no longer living under the same roof because right now just hurts.

Illicit 02-27-2005 10:21 PM

Good Luck, I hope you find something quick !

dasexi1 02-27-2005 10:29 PM

I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through this, I just went through something similar about 8 months ago I can totally understand what you are going through. Just hang in there it will get better with time. Once you are moved and settled into your new home you will start to feel better. For now just surround yourself as much as possible with people that love you.
I don't know you except from your posts on this board, but you have a beautiful personality and a wonderful sense of humor, all the well wishers in this thread are proof of that.
I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding a new job, you're intelligent, strong, witty and one hell of a writer. I wish you the best, and if there is anything I can do let me know. I'm usually up all night if you ever need to talk, vent, cry I'm a good listener icq 77 69 1446

We just went through the house, dividing up the stuff. Jesus. :(

oh hon, you don't have to describe it, i've been there - i used to run a lighting/video/transport co. for bands on tour with my husband and we divorced on fairly bad terms to make things worse. i left w/nothing, so i'm thinking about you and sending positive vibes towards your job search - especially in PA because that makes you quite a bit closer to us in pinktown here. :winkwink:

*hugs*

Actually, the squirrel isn't much of an issue as long as he stays in the cage, (which he does). We'll see what happens.

Might be a good time to open that cage. It won't get easier :2 cents:

iwantchixx 02-28-2005 12:44 AM

Sorry for your breakup girl.

Someone give this girl a job :) She needs something new to look forward to :)

Tala 02-28-2005 12:46 AM

The squirrel is a small flying squirrel and fits in a birdcage. I've had to give up too much already, I'm not giving up my babies!

Besides, I'm not flying out. I'll have to drive.

titmowse 02-28-2005 12:54 AM

I'm so sorry you're going through bad times ,Tala.

I have faith your future holds nothing but happiness and success. You stay strong :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
