Shit is stuck on desktop...can someone help please?

Someone I know has been ripping their own cd collection onto their computer (a massive collection), and has run into a major problem. There have been some duplicated files which Windows Media Player has decided to "delete". These files are going into a self created "recyclables" file, then ALL of the music files are appearing on the desktop. They will not go into the "recycle bin" and will not go away. Apparantly, this person has rid his desktop a couple times of these files (how I do not know) but they keep reappearing. Can anyone offer some suggestions? Has anyone ever had this happen to them? HELP if you can please!

Yeah, I'm a tad confused too. Care to try to explain a bit better? I can probably help if I knew what the problem was ;p

Your computer is definitely defective. You should return it.
