No, it is a station dedicated to a group of people that "MTV" does not show enough appreciation for. What other chennel would have played a majority of rap music? They now have MTV Jams, because they realize that black audiences will go at it, and they want the money. How often do they play "rap" music on mtv? So it is more of a channel showing appreciation to those group of people for working hard, and doing what they do. Eminem is played on BET, Pitbull, even some Spanish music now. If you work hard and make it in "rap industry" BET will show you some appreciation and give you much attention. No matter what race you are. It just happened that a MAJORITY of rappers are black.
