it has a thumbnail program in it, and im pretty sure it can compress the images to what you need.

Who needs punctuation anyway?

ThumbsPlus is ideal, especially when you create your own page templates.

I recommend fireworks for batch compression / size reduction of images.. BUT, when I need to build pages, etc, I always use one of the following two programs which are EXCELLENT:

2) ImageENGine
2) Arles Image Web Creator

you can search for the on http://www.download.com

Easily control thumb and image sizes as well as compression.

J-batch-it is quick, simple and it works. other programs may be better and have more options, but I like quick and simple.

You don't really know that you want, don't you? First he goes - ENLARGE this, enlarge that, and now he wants compression

Anyway, if you already have FW, use the batch process option.. Go for custom setting, set the size and quality and click ok/next/etc...

I love Arles, it does a great job with the image processing, especially if you want a text overlay on the bottom with your site URL or something. However, ImagENGine is DEFINATELY worth checking out for the creation of gallery pages, etc... trust me, it's robust! I've probably built a half million pages with it already ;-)

Go to http://www.insyse.com/

I just got SuperJPG. It works really well!

I shaved 25 megs off 749 images. They went from 43 megs, down to 18 megs
