There is no such thing as an unblockable javascript popup. But I've been experimenting with php.

I don't see that as a bonus to affiliates. What if the person is clicking on the join link?

Spunky 02-24-2005 08:34 PM

It worked here in firefox as well..great code Smokey

KorayIsSexy 02-24-2005 09:38 PM

How is that laughable? JavaScript is client-side, so browsers can easily be programmed to block JS popups. PHP is server-side. So everything is processed and rendered by the server. The browser itself doesnt read the code, so how can it block it?

A site with php when viewsourced will display html.
A site with JS when viewsourced will display full code.

Just to see what I mean.

im not saying you couldnt make a popup with php , i was merely laughing at the statement..

If a javascript cant be unblockable than neither can a php popup right.

Basically nothing is unblockable, its easier to just state what doesnt block it ;)

No popups man..

You beat me to the punch on that one.

As a matter of fact I'm sure most tgp/link list operators will take exception to the fact that surfers won't be able to return to the original site by simple clicking back. :2 cents:

Yes, popups do work with flash on firefox.

But the one Eric-Gamma posted didn't.

His claims of his popup beating all popup killers isn't accurate and that's the point I was trying to get across :)
