    ICQ 5 any good?

I havent upgraded yet..just curious if anyone has any feedback on it?

i noticed the last few editions, icq has seemingly gotten worse rather than better..

i dont know that i want to upgrade just to basically see more ads..

I was looking at it a couple of days ago , for the instant talk feature, but I'm afraid to download in case it fucks up all my history

I'm using trillian now to manage icq, yahoo, and msn. Works fine with me.

I upgraded to vers 5 LITE and hate it...
bulky..slow... not very LITE at all.

Half the functions dont work anymore... then again it might just be me

If you install ICQ5 and you already have an older one (I had 2003b) installed, you can still get to your old version with it's history.. the old history is not accessable from within ICQ 5 though, so it's a slight pain. Just hit Main Menu and click Switch to ICQ Pro.. and you can bounce over to the old one... and then back (Switch to ICQ Lite)..
