We had about 3,000 hits on our site in the first week and had a lot of positive feedback, and are currently working with several webmasters on converting their sites. Most of the 3D stuff that is currently out for adult content uses the red/blue glasses, and our technology uses the stereoscopic glasses that are commonly used for gaming. It provides a much more realistic effect and is much more versatile. There is a preview area that is available on our site for use with the 3D glasses. When I say more versatile, I mean, the 3D effect can be used on converted content online, converted on the fly on your pc while watching a movie, or converting live tv/dvd's/vhs/gaming consoles (Playstation, Xbox, etc) all on the fly. The only drawback I see is that:
#1 I imagine that you'd have to charge a bit more for a membership in order to cover the cost of the 3d goggles which will have to go out to every member
#2 Because you need the physical goggles, it's not instant (the orgasm that the surfer is paying for, that is)... so unless it gets big to the point where a LOT Of surfers already have the goggles, it may be a harder sell.
but, hopefully the uniqueness of this idea would make up for (in conversions) what you would lose because of those drawbacks. I can imagine an entire network of sites all in the 3d, so people who already have the goggles can pick and choose what kind of content they want to get just like signing up for a normal paysite. Now that would be SLICK

Like I mentioned before, most of what was available was the red/blue or red/green. We have had about 10,000 hits to our site in a little under 3 weeks, so it seems that most people ARE interested in 3D. I think people in the industry are afraid of change. So, the way I look at it, and what people who are very intimate with the industry have said, webmasters are either going to adapt and get on board, or be left behind. We are offering this technology to everyone right now, so if you want to bring something new and exciting to the table for your members, this is it. If you are happy with your .10% conversion ratio's and average membership length of 1 month, keep doing what you are doing. Webmasters that are willing to try something new will be the one's that are left around in a couple months and years. Webmasters that won't try something new, well, they'll be in another industry by then. I'm just trying to present the facts here.Comment

I definitely appreciate the enthusiasm, and these are all things to consider. Yes, the glasses aren't pennies, unfortunately, but there are positive sides to the glasses. They are compatible with a lot of different items, as you can see from the site. Meaning, someone can implement 3D technology on their website by offering a "Premium" membership which would cover the cost of the glasses, and then upsell the members with other products, like 3D movies that are converted in real-time on a computer or home tv, or the Virtual FX, which converts live tv/video games/DVD's/VHS movies on a television. Plus, we have some other ideas in the pipeline that all revolve around the glasses. So, yes, webmasters do have to spend a bit more money up front, but our research has shown that members will retain their membership longer because of the limited number of 3D websites, and they will be able to implement and upsell customers on other 3D products. There is plenty of room for margins. And, another thing that we don't mention on the site is- you know those pesky little things called chargebacks that tend to kill websites? Well, you are giving the customer a tangible product, so with you giving the glasses to the customer, you are limiting your exposure significantly to chargebacks from customers. If you're not a webmaster, you can pick up the VFX on www.realwebproductions.com directly. If you are a webmaster, the prices are significantly less through www.realistixxx.com, but you need a username and password to access the pages, that way, customers don't see what you pay :-)Comment
