Secret Service Investigating Paris Hacks?

The CNN story with a "response" from T-Mobile:
http://money.cnn.com/2005/02/21/tech...phone/?cnn=yes

Quote:
Zidar said that since Sunday night a number of sites had posted Hilton's personal contacts, but the sites kept changing as the Secret Service, which Zidar said investigates computer crimes, shuts them down.
Secret Service?

(They haven't found gfy yet, apparently.)

I guess the SS qualifies as "surfers"

Anyhow, there must be some links pointing to GFY thread(s) out there somewhere... we're all gonna die

I agree 100% but I saw the CNN article about the Secret Service shutting sites down so I thought at least it was relevant to GFY.

I'm surprised then -- If she was on GFY this would have been one of the first places to get shut down - every other site / mirror with "the list" was getting zapped in no time.

then again, if she couldn't find the list ....

All the fucken mirrors went down due to either kiddie DoS attacks or too much traffic for their servers to handle...

Nothing to do with her personally, but the appearance it has on the general public that the government's not on top of this, as well as the fact that they want to discourage other high profile attacks by clamping down fast.
