Can you tell me if there is a significant performance increase from a 7200 RPM drive?
Anyone here using 10000RPM SATA hard drives?

I'm running a WD Raptor.. I always thought WD sucked but they offer a 5 year warranty on these so I took the chance. It does make some noise every so often so I don't really trust the drive, but it's working fine right now.In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

thanks for the info guys, with the video work that I do, it seems like my HD and memory are my 2 bottlenecks. The raptors look good, seek time and latency are about half of most 7200 RPM drives, but I havent heard of anyone using them until today.Comment
