Using epassporte to purchase plane tickets?

Anyone ever use their epassporte card to purchase plane tickets?

I keep getting declined even though I have the available funds ... anyone else have this problem?

Are you using the number on your Visa Electron, or the virtual number?

The Visa Electron number will not authorize online/over the phone, only the virtual number will.

Yep, I tried both and the Virtual card gets a "Declined by bank" notice.

Called epassporte and they said it showed up as a "restricted purchase" or some shit ... then they told me to call cheaptickets again and make sure they accept this type of card.

Trying at travelocity now, hopefully this will work.

Finally got it to work by using my Electron card via United.com - strangely enough.

Thanks for the comments/advice people.

That's when a 3-way call is in order

Dont do it ... I did it through orbitz ... First off orbitz puts a hold on your card for 30 days than Delta or whomever actually clears the money so you get billed twice and dont get your other money back for 30 days !

Epassporte was no help or orbitz ... go directly to the airline instead ..

This happened to me twice actually not once !
