Affiliate Program Owners....Would you join APOA??? - GoFuckYourself.com

Almost every week i get a call from industry press like AVN, Xbiz or others ( not that i mind ) but i was thinking if one of these industry press companies were to form an organization called Affiliate Program Owners Association ( APOA ) ( they can appoint me president if they wish ), and if they held a luncheon meeting or monthly gathering at one of their offices, would you attend?

This monthly gathering would have free lunch, drinks and to meet and discuss industry issues, discussion about helping eachother on tips, about 2257 issues, and whatever else you can think of, as well as whats new with your company, whats hot and whats next as they would cover the stories for their mags or sites.

Would you attend and join this type of organization as an owner of an affiliate program??

Please say why if you would and why not if you dont think you would join?

Wouldn't join anything like that, 2 reasons...

1. Greed - too many big egos and ceratin people would try to run everything and exploit the smaller guys in the orginization and/or industry.

2. There are enough shows to attend where the same things can be and are accomplished, it would be no different than hitting a different show every month, which some people do now anyway.

I would attend because generally I believe a quasi Think Tank network is great to kick idea around and discuss industry trends and opportunities. Great idea!
