The difference between spam and a sales pitch is how quickly you can convince the listener that you have something he wants.
In my experience, you have about 5 seconds to accomplish that. That's via phone. If it's e, you won't get past the spam filter unless you can fit his full name, domain name, and a concise sales pitch into the subject. THEN the body of the e must quickly expound on the sales pitch. With e, I'll guess that IF you convince him to open your e with a great subject, you then have about 5 seconds to convince him to continue reading. With luck, you'll get about a 3% response rate, and that's with every e being custom crafted. I don't bother with e anymore, I phone. |
If your product is good, it will market itself (for the most part).
