7% seems pretty damn low unless you have a lot of blind links to your join page.
Nope, no blind links, just "JOIN BY CREDIT CARD" and "JOIN BY CHECK". Price isn't mentioned anywhere untill the CCBill joinpage though. Probably have something to do with it?

I am sure the number would raise if you did mention the price. Though 7% with join by cc or ck links is pretty damn bad.
sites that pass information into our signup forms (ask for a username/pass, email address, etc) will have a much higher form hits to submissions ratio, you may want to distinguish these sorts of sites before you ask for ratio opinions
If you need a good company for check writing services, then check out checkissuing, and for webhosting, check out Phoenix NAP

OK... I am sorry, english is not my first language, but I honestly did not understand the above. How do you mean?
you may get less hits to your forms if you mention price first, but your % will go way up.........you'll be weeding out those less serious who may get to your page and find your price points too expensive, etc.

Yeah, but will it bring in more joins? The % isn't really that important, was just curious. The price is $24.95, not really a very high price point...

No I don't think it would bring in more joins........
I also think your price point is fine. If it was my site, I'd de-emphasize your main pic somewhat and emphasize the flash you have on that page more. I think its those flash pics that would be more attention grabbing imho.
It seems extremely low to me. I haven't seen any ratios that low on the sites I own or run. The main problem you have is only offering recurring or 6 month subscriptions. A lot of paysites don't seem to be able to figure out that you can boost sales by offering a one month subscription too. A lot of surfers don't trust porn sites and just want to check you out. Offer a better deal on recurring or long subscriptions, but don't demand it.

Very good point. Never thought about adding a one month subscription... As an aff we were always a bit pissed on sites offering one month subscriptions since surfers often signed up for one month and later resigned for recurring, leaving us with credit for only the monthly SU. Maybe it's possible to set it up so that affiliates can choose if they want recurring only when promoting? Have to look into this. Thanks for the tip!

I offer a cheap recurring billing as an incentive to go that way, and a higher priced single month subscription. Amazingly a fair number of surfers still pick the single month. I think its fair to assume these are surfers who absolutely positively aren't going to be recurring members. I also run another site with split month pricing, i.e., $24.95 for one month and then $19.95, still offering a single month signup too.
You make a good point about affiliates concern, but I think their main concern is the size of their check. A mix of single month signups and recurring still generates a better return than the recurring only, especially when people who can't afford more than one month cancel anyway.

You have some very good points there. Will set up a single month option then. Is $29.95 too low, might be better to go with something like $34.95 if you really want them to go for recurring? $34.95 is pretty high though...

I really could not say for your site what a good price point is, you might try experimenting a week at a time and see what you get. There are few huge sites with low price points and most around $29.95 or higher. Just make the single month option, if you decide to offer it, $5.00 more. I think its a safe bet anyone selecting that would have cancelled anyway after 30 days.
Obviously most sites disagree with me as few offer a 1 month plan, but I doubt many of them have actually done the marketing research on what price maximizes profits, and how a one month signup changes the mix.
It also depends on your hosting cost. For me a lower price maximized sales and affiliate returns, but I get hosting almost free. There is also the human factor. Affiliates balk at pushing low priced sites. They'd rather convert 1:1000 on a $49.95 site then 1:300 on a $24.95 site for some reason.

Will play around a little with the pricepoints then. Thank you very much for all your advice Nice to actually learn something on GFY for a change ;)
I hate sites that have this fucking 1 month non recurring,it just a way to fake that it's a $15 PPS program
yeah I understand what you are saying, but, it doesn't work that way in real life in my opinion. You can't force a surfer to stay a member who can't afford it or is terrified the wife will find the billing (maybe a small percent but not most). You have to have great fucking content and add new stuff often, and they will retain. I have a young website that earns more in recurring than new signups, so 60% revshare is a lot more than a $15 PPS.
You are still left with 20% to 50% (or more) of surfers who absolutely, positively will not join a site with recurring no matter what. In that case I will take the $15 PPS vs. zero, yep.

yes, this is the reason.
people are hitting the join page just to find out the price.
1. form hits (with or without prior price disclosure)
2. forms submissions (is your pitch articulated properly on the ccbill page)
3. approved sales (the scrub rate)
other extenuating factor:
some folks do multiple attempts to signup which skews your %.
Do you feel that mentioning the price earlier is a better idea?
yes i do,
But I like a short tour (2 pages) I sell hard on the first page but nothing about price, my second page i recap and hilight what they will get and for how much and let them select username, password, and payment/ membership.
take a look at my tours, they are all the same formula
