the ultimate stats would include:

unlimited subaccounts, so you can use a subaccount for a gallery or a subaccount for a specific banner.

refferer stats, tracking sales.

a stats program, small windows executable, that displays all that stuff above, plus having the ability to be minimized to the taskbar. playing a sound for every sale like the ars executable would be cool also..

oh, and ofcourse the bookmarkable url that includes your login/pass so you dont have to type em in all the time ..

email notification, configurable to send an email for each sale, once a day with total stats or not at all..

a built in counter, would be cool, that way you could crunch in the number of hits to your gallerys/free sites in the stats, calcualting a hits/sales ratio, clickthrough ratio etc .. and combined with the subaccounts you could calculate a clickthrough ratio for each banner..

did i mention that im a stats addict?

Something to keep in mind here -- and I know everyone wants something different from their stats --

The more info you can get from a stats program, the longer it takes and more complex its going to be to get any information from the program, since there will be many more queries and either lots of tables or some big ass tables in the db's --

Most of you seem to want to know -
a. number of sales
b. referring url to these sales
c. rebills if not a pay per join
d. count of some sort (which is the least reliable thing since different programs set up to count the same thing may still take different factors into acct and the numbers not match) --

Is this it?

Exactly -- unlimited subaccounts! This is what I posted earlier. This is what is desperately needed -- we need to track the performance of individual types of traffic -- not just the referrer -- but the referrer OF the referrer!!! This is possible with subaccounts! This would allow for entirely new (and VERY valuable) trading indicators like "raw/sale productivity ratio"!

This indicator alone would make dramatic changes in the way that free-site webmasters trade traffic.

There were a couple of programs doing this with a limited number of subaccounts -- with subaccounts A-Z -- maybe pornmegabucks? -- but really 26 subaccounts is not very useful.

im no sponsor but i would gladly dedicate a few more boxes/mbits if it ment more webmasters sending me their traffic..

if done right, an executable would take some heat off the stats server to...

to me it should be obvious for the sponsors that a good stats program would suck in those webmasters, and then im talking about really good stats, where you can for example check the ctr for the diffrent banners, not just the basic stuff ..
