I drive the US border at Mexico all the time. It is usually 25 minutes to 2 hours. And they rarerly hold me more than a minute. But I know that they can be a pain the the ass. Now the mexicans. I have been stopped by them once, and they peeked into the truckj, and then waived me on.

Canada customs has always been a joke for me... I always get waved through... it's US customs that loves the ass fucking.

iv had a few runins with customs... last time i went some jackass forgot to remove his guns from his vehicle. That went over, well :)

You guys must be flagged for something. I've only ever had one time coming home into canada and been harassed by a customs agent. Peace arch, 3am, 3 days before hallowe'en... newbie border guard probably thinking my buddy and I were smuggling fireworks. He was wrong.

... but then, I don't wear shirts that say "Talk to me about cum guzzling sluts" when I try to cross either. :thumbsup

Yes, customs in many countries commonly do exactly that...

It's best to off-load data first whenever possible over the net ...

And/or ship it; risk of loss when shipping, but a tradeoff that may be worth it, if one feels customs is likely going be an extreme hassle; confiscation.

Customs are tough. I got detained for more than 8 hours a while ago. They claimed I was known under an alias, and couldn't accept they had the wrong guy.

I am not afraid of Canadian customs. No, chinese customs... thats scary, nothing like someone yelling at you in a language you cant comprehend. But Canadian customs? At least I am in my own country. But yah, they can be asses though.

I have no problem getting across the border.. NO matter who is with me or what I have... I just talk stupid babble in fluffhead talk to the custom's agents, and as soon as their eyes glaze over, they let me through :P You should have had me with ya, Aaron, remember last time? Not a problem at all! :)
