Firefox helps ease that burden because it doesn't leave the mac truck sized holes in itself direct to total box 0wnage. When people get on a browser, they want to view pages and/or do my job. They don't want to have to be in security manager mode whenever they turn a computer on, and most of them have lives that are NOT computer-related.

Not that I'd expect someone from Alaberta to understand that concept. :321GFY

what a fucking truckload of horseshit - you should ban yourself for being suck a complete fucking moron

IE is perfectly secure. I never have spyware/adware issues. Keep your system up to date, grab the ms spyware or some other spyware softwars. Then tweek your IE browser much like you have to tweek firefox to make it perfect.

Firefox still rocks for me

IE is crap.

The argument is a foolish one. Any experienced webmaster who uses i.e. and still gets trojans/virii is a complete moron.

Its all about useability . If firefox gives you everything you need then by all means use it. But i should warn you , you wont see your webpage like 90% of your customers do.

Basically if you use firefox , chances are you also use i.e. ( to see what your page actually looks like ) So i cant see the purpose unless firefox offered something better than i.e., and currently that just isn't the case.

Moral of the story.

UPDATE YOUR DAMN PC I have had this computer for about a year and a half. I use i.e. with all the updates and i have NEVER recieved a virus/trojan/spyware ever.

I love my FF :)

lol.. Everyone getting all upset.

1. Firefox does have out of the box better security than IE. & Everyone complaining about people should secure their PC can do the same while using FF and be even more secure.

Internet Explorer is the most used browser. 90% of all exploits will be written for it regardless.

2. Firefox allows for more user control over the entire software package. about:config in itself is proof.

3. Firefox allows users more options in terms of add-ons and extensions. Firefox's mass quantities of extensions & easily created custom extensions is the cause for most users to switch & stay with the broswer.

4. Firefox renders true html & css coding as it should be. IE runs on it's own wierd standards that even a monkey could code for.

The days of the software giants are over. No longer do people need to be forced to use specific software for compatability. No longer will people need to pay for software which is readily available for free.

In conclusion.

Does that not make IE the standard?

I.E has the best support for most of the interent web pages. Built in jscript, htmlx and 1000's of functions that wont work on any other browsers.

So you are advocating MORE people to use FireFox so one day it will be so popular exploits will be frequently writen for it too? Real smart thinking there.

Maybe, all that does is make webpages look like crap since most webmaster are sloppy.

And if some of us prefer to use IE what's your deal about that?

Actually with software the more protection you have the better. There isn't eaxctly a friction problem with latex in any software I know of.

Yes, it's true with every software. The same is why more exploits are written for windows rather than linux. Or most mail worms are written to exploit outlook. Becuase to have the greater effect you need to hit the widest used program. Microsoft has something like a monopoly on alot of software. I'm sure in the future there will not be a single major corperation & everything will eventually move to freeware.

Well not everyone can be 100% satisfied.

That is not softwares fault, it's the webmaster's fault.

It doesn't effect me either way. Everyone has their opinion. You can use whichever broswer you want. I wan't telling you which one to use. Just stating some facts about two broswers.
