It works great for me, The conversions are awesome, just imagine meeting someone in your home town. I been doing great with adultlocals lately. If you see profiles in your hometown your going to want to sign up and meet the local people.

that is provided they are accurate...for example your sig can't get my city..but one actualy 100km away from it...

You should see the new spacash geo banners, they arent just for dating sites..

Now you might be thinking , why would you want geo banners on non-dating sites..

well each of spacash's pay sites is offered in multiple languages, not just text but graphics and domain , the whole shebang.

So they offer hotlinkable banners that will display the banner graphics and everything in the language of the users country..

You should see some of the conversion rates on countries that normally dont produce SKYROCKET after using language support banners..

Cams.com Geo sites work best for me. The combination of localization and cam girls really works well. They're also paying $70/signup for all of February.

just like any type of ad even if its geoip you need to keep your material fresh... if your intrested in promoting a dating site using geoip hit me up and i can get you some fresh unsaturated ads

I keep wondering why the programs that use geo scripts don't translate their banners and ads into other languages.. When I see a geo ip banner the location is almost always wrong and the fact that it is in english makes me believe that they probably won't have anything Danish anyway. Especially dating sites.

It is not like it would cost that much more to have a some ads translated and I personally believe that it would help the CTR a lot.

As long the geo ip ads are used as a gimick I see no reason not to take it all the way..

exactly . spacash ( see sig ) is the only one i have seen that does a great job of it.. sadly they have no dating sites, but it does wonders for tgp traffic.

If you check out the links to the sample sites in my sig they will be translated for you AND you will be sent to the domain of the language of your country to further ensure the surfer feel his content will be easily understood

If they showed languages based on GEO-IP they'd have big issues here in Toronto - nearly half of us speak Mandarin as our fist language, the other half? Ebonics

I'm not saying that it can be perfect, but there is room for improvement. In cases like yours it should probably default to English, but a German surfer should get German speaking ads..
