America does not have an empire...but only by choice. In addition Iran is an insignificant country and can and will be squashed like an insect if the US chooses to do so.

FYI...Diago Garcia is a British dependency...and is used by the Brits and US as a military forward positioninbg base...primiraly for refueling and support supplies. It is not even 20 square miles in size.

Actually the USA forcibly removed every citizen from Diego Garcia, not that they'd ever tell you that on the conditioning they tell you is news. I used that example because of the joke, which was in fact, quite funny.
