Bid obligation

Lets say someone puts item A up for sale

I bid $xxx and then right after someone bids $yyy in which case $yyy > $xxx
But then the person who bid $yyy backs out after the auction, am i still obligated to buy Item A

On Adult Industry Auctions if the winner of the auction backs out, the next highest bidder is offered the product or service for their top bid amount. They are not obligated though. If they decline the deal, then the auction is just ended with no winner. I believe that eBay is a little bit more strict about their policies reguarding this.

Kind of what im saying. I made a bid for something on ebay. And then someone "Im figuring the fried of the seller, or the seller himself" made a bid o n the item for 7x more than what its really worth, which is why i know it was a false bid. I know that i wont bid higher and that someone else will win. But iif the seller contacts me saying the guy backed out do i have to buy?
