Anyone using revsharehosting yet.

Have any of you tried out revsharehosting.com yet, the new free host where you share the revenue from approved sponsors but get bannerless hosting. I just signed up with them. Seems like a good idea for people who'd like to post extra galleries without burning up there own bandwidth. I'm going to give them a try and see how it works out. They say that you can run cgi,php and perl scripts on the accounts and they'll host your domains for you. I don't think i'd host any domains with them but I sure will see if I can make use of their free(well kind of) bandwidth. I was going to just post my wm referal code here but I don't want to be accused of spamming so here's my referal url http://www.revsharehosting.com/162/
and here's their url without it http://www.revsharehosting.com
use which ever one you want to but check them out and tell me what you think of them.

yys,

I can't speak from a TGP posting perspective but as one of the sponsors that has been working with Steve from Revsharehosting I can tell you he is a great guy that puts in a ton of hard work (and long hours) to make it work for you.

ElvisManson, I saw your program in there. I think these guys have come up with a pretty nifty business model that will work out for both the webmaster and themselves. I can see a lot of people who make use of free hosts moving over to these guys. I really liked the fact that you can run scripts on the accounts and from what i've heard from some other people already it seems like these guy's go out of their way to help there webmasters make $$$money$$$. The questions going to be whether they can keep there servers up and running properly or will 404's start happenning when they start getting hammered with tgp traffic.

As another of the approved sponsors I also have worked closely with Steve on this idea. Its been many months to bring this project to light the people at http://www.revsharehosting.com have put a huge attention to detail to make sure everything is working perfect. I believe this idea is going to take off. It helps everyone out. Banners on free hosts eat up much of your hard work of making a gallery, this is definately a more attractive alternative to the free hosts.

I guess this as good of time as any for me to chime in...

I appreciate the quick imput from both sponsors and further appreciate what ALL our approved sponsors have done to accomodate our unique program needs. The RevShare Hosting concept has been, and will continue to be an evolution based on feedback from our webmasters and this incredibly dynamic industry.

Myself and our programmers have put 3 LONG months into getting this program up and running, and we are committed to providing our webmasters with quality hosting and many other tools to help make 'them' successful.

Our success is totally dependant on the success of our webmasters!

I've been doing that with webmasters for a while. I pay for the content, and bandwidth. You can use whatever program you want, make AVS sites, TGP galleries, free sites. Whatever the fuck you want. 50/50 all the way down. As a matter of fact this hole idea came from me ;0))

I know Steve as well and can tell you, it's the new wave of freehosting. I'm sure others may have done it before, but this is the first I know of. Steve has put in a ton of work and he and his programmers are top notch and all around good guys. His 404 solution is good too...normally I'm anti-freehost, but this time is the exception...great company, great product, great support...a newbie (or oldbie) webmaster couldn't go wrong with these guys.

Super Sonic,

If you're such a stand up guy and a veteran of this industry, then why create a new user on this board to throw in your '2 cents'?

And if you are only splitting 50/50 with your guys then I wouldn't let them find out about our program because our pass thru to our Wm's is more than 70%. But don't get me wrong I'd love to help them make more $$$$.

ps...it's 'whole' not 'hole'.

you are the weakest link...goodbye!

Hey RevShare I told my guys about your deal already. I saw it myself before it was even open to the public. The reason they stick with me is because I make sure every gallery, free/avssite is going to make us money before they even submit them around. (Less bandwidth being used you know what I mean?) Some are doing so well I'm going to buy a few links on the Hun for them. Anyway I wasn't trying to piss in your corn flakes there guy. I hope it does well for you because I only work with a select few. Good luck and thanks for the grammar class.

Oh yeah the weakest link show sucks.

We had a network router dropping out last evening...and they just finished replacing it. While this problem is out of our control and a rare occurance...it does happen. It's just very unfortunate that it happend three days after our program. I'm not trying to 'pass the buck', it is our webmasters that are being affected by the problem and ultimately it is our responsibility. We have gone to tremendous lengths to assemble a program that provides a genuine service to our webmasters and I'm sure that given time we will prove that this is a great concept for our company, our sponsors and most important...our webmasters.

Sorry for any inconvienience...

Maestro
