I had been bugging my girl to go and try out for canadian idol cause she has an amazing voice, She finally says ok and after 7 hours of standing in a line up and 30 seconds of singing....She has been told to return for the 2nd round. Wish her luck.

make sure she buys her name as a domain name
even if she doesn't make it to the end she might be able to parley the tv appearance into a record deal. If she promotes herself well.

every winner of american idol and canadian idol has had to buy back their name from a cybersquatter.

Star Search in all the years it was on actually never once discovered a big talent in music. They did have a few kids on there that went on to big things when they grew up, but you can't attribute that to Star Search.

Aiken, Ruben, Clarkson, etc... have done more than anyone from Star Search ever did.
