As an affiliate, program owner and using all means of traffic of possible then 1000 a day sounds more realistic.

I could potentially see someone really really good (and really organized) doing 1000 with SEs... after all with SEs you can work in unlimited niches and products (not just adult) at the same time... you just have to have as much stuff in the index as possible before they start kicking it out, and stay ahead of the curve of getting shit banned...
it would be enormously difficult by yourself though...
I remember a couple of years ago that hornyalien guy got google on lockdown and had about the first 50 results for just about every major adult search term and niche, for weeks... he would have made some pretty coin off that.Comment

how about actually asking someone that deals with webmasters every single day.
If you're hand submitting to TGPs and Linklists a good day for one webmaster is 5-10
if you're a SEO or Adword guy a good day is 20-75
DEpending on the niche and Page ranking
A good day for a mailer.. I've seen guys send 500 in a day and complain.
A good day for a program 2000
