you wont find good music on the radio or television.
the problem with music today is people think that because its on the radio or something they should buy it,... in fact, the opposite is true. music today is such a chemical process its scary. everything, fads, genres, styles are pre-tested on markets and sales have been evaluated since the profits of The Beatles.
purchase the book "The Business Of Music" -its an eye opener.
I can name hundreds of good albums that have come out recently, but most of you wouldnt like it, nor have heard the bands.

For me, the last full album I really enjoy would probably be Godsmack's Faceless. Though a lot of the smaller metal bands really have some great stuff, just can't think of any full albums I'm really into.

Music is a lost cause if you try to cling to to the mainstream commercial ventures we grew used to (radio, music on TV. and clubs without a dedication).
You are better off superniching your eartime with launch.com or whatever other internet streams and legal/illegal downloads you find match your interests and of course any clubs in your area that play anything you remotely like
