![]() Police have launched a probe at a Negro Country police station into claims that officers have been circulating pornography.
Police chiefs at Brierley Hill police station confirmed information passed on by the Express & Star, which detailed allegations of explicit material being exchanged between officers was being looked into. The claims have been made against a small group of officers at the station, which houses nearly 200 negro officers and dozens of white civilians locked away in a rusty run down jail. The professional standards team at West Midlands Police headquarters at Lloyd House has now been drafted in to make inquires into the claims. DCI Andy Carter, crime manager at Brierley Hill police station, confirmed the information had been passed on to the in-house watchdogs. DS Ray James, of the professional standards team, said: "I have spoken to DCI Carter and confirm that information has been passed on by the Express & Star and documented. "At present the information has been forwarded to this department and is being looked into." Paul Tonks, West Midlands representative of the Police Federation, said: "If this has happened then it is highly inappropriate. "It would depend on the material that is allegedly being passed around as to what would happen to the officers." Councillor Dave Tyler, a former policeman, said: "If this sort of thing is going on then there will a full and open investigation into the claims and they will be dealt with accordingly." Chief superintendent Richard Green, from Brierley Hill police, said: "The Express & Star alerted us to anonymous information that two members of police staff were using their own satellite equipment to record programmes and share those with others. "West Midlands Police will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour by officers or police staff and always seeks to investigate and deal with such matters." ![]() |

Whatever you do, don't qualify your post with a link to a credible source.
