I actually found Comus to be pretty damn confusing. I guess that having options for everything is a good thing once you get to know it, but at first it kinda overwhelms ya.

I currently use http://thumbmanager.com it's a great script

Comus is much better, I bought Thumb Manager but it was a waste of money. It makes shitty looking thumbs, you can't auto update your site anytime you want to see a change (have to wait 5minutes for the page to update or icq them to do it manually). They also don't provide free upgrades, so be prepared to pay for new features that should have been included to begin with.

Now the downside of Comus, under heavy load it doesn't seem to run as hot which isn't a problem for most people, there haven't been any new features in months. But alot of large tgp/mgp's run it so you have lots of people to ask for tips/help once you get going.

I manged to build my sites up 1.4 million visitors per day using Tmanager, one of them is up to 600-700K per day alone.

I think that the thumbs look great, perhaps you just had the quality set too low or something.

Sure you can't update the script anytime you want, but for me 5 minutes is good enough for me

The guys behind it are great to deal with. They're working on a new engine that's gonna be smarter than any other script on the market today, I can't let the cat out of the bag, but it's something that I've never known before
