Photographer's Assistant Surrenders in Norristown Murder Case
A 30-year-old woman who failed to show up for a hearing in Norristown has now turned herself in to face additional charges in the murder case.
It was thought originally that Jennifer Mitkus (left) played a minor role in the murder of Canadian porn actress Natel King. Lately though, Montgomery County DA Bruce Castor concluded that Mitkus had been instrumental in trying to deceive police, so he upped the charges against her. Mitkus was supposed to surrender, says Castor, but did not show up for a 9am hearing on Monday. Then, about 3pm Monday afternoon, Mitkus turned herself in to authorities. Castor says Mitkus is being charged with trying to clean up the murder scene. Castor says she even researched on the Internet the way investigators would use a substance called Luminal and black light to spot blood traces. Castor says the alleged killer, Anthony Frederick, is now cooperating with authorities.
