My dad has a Murano, great city car. However the transmission on it gives it very little power at low RPM, which caused him to get stuck in the woods a few times. I believe it's the same transmission, so it may not be suited for too rough a terrain. I think it looks great though, best looking SUV out there IMO.

Murano's drive well ... but the FX seems like a Lexus RS300 with some more bling, but int the end its basically a Mom Mobile.

YEP!!! My wife and I test drove it last weekend after seeing it at the car show.

They look and ride sweet. Be sure to get all the packages added to it with the big rims as well..

Not sure if we are getting it or not. But its a great car...

FYI, these ouppies drop a lot in price if you want a 1 or 2 year pre-owned one. The % drop is pretty big..

Kinda raised an eyebrow for us.

Do you have Autoshows in your area.. I HIGHLY reconmend you hit one up..
Sit in and get the feel for all the cars ya like.. Then the following weekend take em out for a test drive.. We took a 45 minute test drive.. That was pretty cool of em..

But the BMW dealer let us borrow the car for a weekend when we were test driving the 7 series.. Now that was unreal.. Didnt know these guys did that.. Back in the day it would be a 3 mile testdrive and that was it.

Times have changed.

The FX 45 and Lexus RS is VERY VERY VERY different...

The FX is much more aggressive. Its sporty and has a sporty body and is classy.. That Lexus is a mom mobile all the way.. But the Inifinity FX is nothing of the sort.

The FX is Boneprone Approved.

They call it a hybrid car.. Hybrid in that it is half SUV, half Sports car..

We really liked it..

It was perhaps the only car at the auto show the wife and I both agreed on and would actually consider buying.

Sleazy.. Consider a Range Rover HSE Pre-Owned 2004 or 2003.
They will run you about the same $$ as a new FX45 and it would be more your style and fit perhaps.

You are a big guy, and youd fit in there real real damn nice..

Hell im a tiny guy and Id fit in there real damn nice!

I know you are up in a snowy mountain like area..

So also Consider the Landrover LR3.. Its brand new..
Won mid size SUV of the year.. New is about 50k. Its nice..

Smaller than the HSE Range Rover but its more Mountain like, and also pimp..
The Landrover LR3 is bigger than the FX45 but its again smaller than the Ranger Rover and more up your alley perhaps.. Also the LR3 has more power than the Range Rover HSE.. Amazing rig.

300 HP for the LR3.

i have a fully loaded avalance - i love it - but it's almost 2 year old now - time for a new one in a month or two.

considering an escalade SUT but they never pass a gas station.... lol

and the preformance issue is missing which is there on the infinity - and it looked cool with 20" rims - need to test drive one though to see if i fit - it's always a concern for me asi'm 6'4 and not exactly skinny and a lot of the foreign jobbies are wicked small on the inside.... it's why i liked the avalance - lots of room but it sucks for power

Yeah, like i mentioned in my last post the size of the FX45 may not be the perfect fit for ya.. Even though its a SUV, it sits kinda low.. Higher than a car, but lower than your avarage SUV..

IT was a great fit for me, but Im only 5 foot 7...
Now the Land Rover or Range Rover would for a fact be a good fit for ya.

But fuck Tony Soprano has one, so why cant you?

Im sure size wise that thing would fit like a nice glove for ya. Nice and roomy.

Test drove an FX35 before getting an Infinit G35. The FX35 rode very smooth, with good handling but I couldn't justify the extra money for the same engine as the G35s....but if I had the extra cash I certainly would have went with the FX45. Smooth ride...You can't beat Infiniti nowaday. And the Service center is the shit...they treat you llike royalty. Good luck with the decision.

all depends on how far the seat goes back and how wide the seat is... low isn't a problem if it's designed right

If I remember the seats go back pretty far for plenty of leg room. I'm 6'1 so I like to drive with my knees hardly bent and it did it for me. The seats are bucket seats that are made to conform to your sides so width might be a problem.

What sucks is that there really arent any "Cars" out there I like..
Seems everything I like is SUV like..

And my wife HATES SUVS.. Plus we already have one.. So its hard finding something we can both agree on.. She loves 2 door sports cars, but she also want a baby and that shit wont work.. Dont want to buy something now, and in 9 months have to dump it because she didnt put any thought into this..

So at the moment the FX45 and the 7 series BMW are the vehicles of choice we will most likey be getting this spring..

Personally i want the Rovers, but she doesnt, and she's the boss.
Especially when its for her.

That G35 is a great bang for the buck..

That was probably the only real sedan-car in the entire show I liked besides the BMW..

I really liked the G35.. Nice car man.

Sleazy.
Go test drive the FX45 and the Landrover LR3..

Let me know what ya think.. I love em both!

Again if ya want something bigger the Range Rover HSE is sweet. But you'd be scared to scratch it driving down any gravel road!

Thanks boneprone.

I have the Coupe. Though I've driven the Sedan on numerous occasions. Whenever you go in for your service they put you in a All Wheel Drive G35x as your loaner. I usually beat the shit out of it because its not my car. To tell you the truth I like the suspension in the Sedan better...but I have a favoritism towards 2 doors. I don't know what it is.

also on the FX 45, Black on Black looks real real real sweet.

The black Metalic outside, and Black leather inside with the steel pannel insisde with the navigation window and technology package make it soooo fucking sweet.

That G35 was designed to be a 2 door.. It looks way better in the 2 door...

The only reason I was looking at a 4 door was because we are planning to start a family soon, and we are trying to move our arsenal from 2 doors to 4 door cars.

But yeah the G35 looked good to us. The G35X was the one we were lookin at. Sweet ride.

Im positive it had Heated seats.. And had air vents next to the seats, but not sure if it had cooling things in the seat itself like it did heaters.

If you're looking for an SUV with true 4WD (not AWD) and AC seats, get the Expedition. I can't stand Fords, but they are one of the few who are actually still making real 4WD SUVs

I good buddy of mine got one fully loaded with all the bells and wistles a couple months ago. He loves it after driving a larger SUV for several years. He let me drive it and it certainly didn't feel like an SUV. This car has some serious power. I think it's one of the most unique looking cars on the road.

I just picked one up about a month ago. Its GREAT! The steering is so percise and fast. 0-60 in 6.2 seconds makes it the fastest SUV outside of the X5 4.8i and Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

The seats are very comfortable and supportive, great amenities, firm yet comfortable ride! I give it an 8.5 of 10 and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy one

Engine size - the 35 and 45 refer to the size of the engine - 3.5 and 4.5 liters (or litres for you Canucks )

http://www.edmunds.com is a great car website. The discussion forum has first person reports for just about every car you can think of

Especially when its for her.

bmw 7 series is known of very bad electrical problems, this car is full of electronics and the more of this stuff in a car the more problems you have, I know some people that are crying because of this car, they are visiting dealership every two weeks. Don't get me wrong, I love bmws and my m3 is a great car however 7 series is not a good idea.

the FX45 is the most sporty suv on the planet. drives almost like a sports car (albeit a very heavy one lol). if i had to buy an suv (i don't like them, but let's assume i had to get one), it would be the fx45.

get it man

They will run you about the same $$ as a new FX45 and it would be more your style and fit perhaps.

You are a big guy, and youd fit in there real real damn nice..

Hell im a tiny guy and Id fit in there real damn nice!
tried a range rover - the fx was WAY bigger inside and WAY more comfy with better acceleration. no contest - FX wins

I have had the FX 45 for over a year now, added some killer Boss rims to it, it's a sweet ride, best SUV cause it drives like a sports car. Definately get some new rims though, the factory rims suck ass. Oh and the sound system sucks too, gonna need to get an amp and new speakers.

Engine size.. ANd thats it..

All the other festures and options can be added to either one..

Only difference is engine size..

And its a small difference at that.

It's more like a waggon than anything. I like it. What's the price tag on one of those?

I have my eye on one of these puppies next time around.
Not bad for $29k

I just bought a dodge 1500 extended cab for $20k, no complaints. I think I am the only person in my neighborhood with a truck, but who cares. I also have a Ferrari.
