0.7-1% click thru rate in a teen gallery
is it bad?
I get close to 3% with rare niches but I assume teen galleries get less clicks to sponsors.. but what do you say is 0.7-1% too bad and what should I aim for? Thanks |

Always aim for 100% CTR, but be very happy if you get 4 to 5 %

It depends on the way you promote your sponsor!
I usualy get 1-1.5% with teen and hardcore, but I'm sure that there are people on this board that can do better! I found a few weeks ago a short text that would get me over 5% clickthrouch, but none of the 6K uniques that I have send to the sponsor comverted  ------------------ I love SE traffic! |

1-2% is about all I can get with teen/hardcore TGP traffic. If I go with some off the wall niche (like three legged bitches dipped in peanut butter and wrapped in cling wrap) I can get up to 4-5%. Usually only convert 1:1500 or 2000 though. TGP traffic is really sucking shit lately.

Don't waste your time with CTR, build a nice looking gallery with an original design and marketing, then see how many signups you get with 100,000 uniques. 3 or more (on pay per signup) and you're alright.

Well I guess I'm not allright, because with my first 1000K of TGP traffic(since I've started doing galleries) I got only 5 signups, allthough 15k uniques went to my sponsor!

don't calc ctr's too much. better count ur $$$ from each gallery

I dunno.. not sure what CTR I got, guessing about 3% though. But, I get conversion of 1:300 or so, almost like clockwork.
All my advice is, is be damn honest. Push the content of the sponsor, and make sure it doesn't suck. Don't tell any lies, or even half-truths or whatever. Pretend you're selling the site to your best friend. But, I'm still a newb, so wtf do I know?  All I know is I'm happy with my 87% profit over bandwidth (paid hosting for galleries listed by the hun and such, 150GB+/mo) -Phil |
