You're not over the edge yet. Get to 6K - 8K in adult and then it's time to quit the regular job !

TDF 02-07-2005 02:01 AM

Me too. On the same note, i don't mind being subcontracted.

BastarD 02-07-2005 02:20 AM

I'd like to quit

Drake 02-07-2005 02:22 AM

Probably go ahead and do the online thing. There is no 'job security' online nor offline these days.

BradM 02-07-2005 02:25 AM

Marty... if you're worried about the extra 400 bucks don't. You'll be just fine. :winkwink: :winkwink: :1orglaugh

Hey TDF long time no see :thumbsup

V_RocKs 02-07-2005 02:27 AM

Yes and I did. I was making less than that from my day job and less than that online and now I make almost $8000 a month on adult.. Fuck mainstream and fuck a real job. The internet is way profitable and this is really a no brainer.

Must people wouldn't (and I'm not I would personally do it iether), you see this work is very very volatil (sp), its easy to make lots of profits one month and then in 3 months you ain't getting shit compared to what you used to.

Meanwhile besides healthcare, and such, that "normal" job would be there for you provided you don't fuck up bigtime..

James White 02-07-2005 09:13 AM

Being your own boss is great.

I think you need the outlook here as well.
Internetincome is variable. Where do you expect your income to be a year from now?

I think we all have been faced with a similar descion - being in an industry that is so young with new businesses popuping up everywhere this is something we all go through at some stage - we've all chosen our paths and MOST of us are happy ;)

good luck - think it through

is the industry getting better in your opinion or dying out?

Brad Gosse 02-07-2005 12:32 PM

Security is a myth. Any job could downsize you tomorrow. The employees are the last to know the ship is sinking.

I would trade that extra $400 and my false sense of security in a second for the FREEDOM that self employment buys.

For me it's always been the freedom. I have been a business owner for 8 years and sometimes it's easy to loose sight of how good I have it. All I need to do is remember a time when I had to beg for a day off to go to the dentist and I know I am better off now.

Sorry but working on your own online has much less security, specialy if you are starting out, unless you have a shit job for starters (fast food chains,etc..)

It is getting better and better. It is getting bigger and more diverse so there are more and more ways for you to get a piece of the pie. I get my pie from about 8 different methods and each makes between 500 to 4000 a month. I think that is also key. After you are doing one thing good to great, start something else and do it good, then another and another... Keep going until you have 5 to 6 different revenue streams and then go back and optimize them for better profits. Next, make more sources and keep going again for 4 to 5 more. I need about 2 more and then I can look at what I've done and optimize before the next launching.

Also, DO NOT WASTE TIME! Don't sit around looking at Stats Remote. Watched stats don't grow. You need to be creating more shit. If you find that you have nothing to do today, buy another domain name and open another TGP or something. Built 5 or 6 more free sites.. Just stay active.

Yes, unless the other job was being an oral sex condom product tester dummy.

tranza 02-09-2005 02:59 PM

I'm still trying to figure out that myself...

I know for once that my GF would leave me...
