DRM Popup gone???

Microsoft is releasing a number of critical patches on Tuesday including ones for DRM. Sounds like the days of popups using DRM encoded video/audio are gone soon.

What's your guess on what the DRM updates will include?

They will probably kill the use of all JavaScript in the DRM window, will solve a tons of problems or use something else than IE to handle this window.

In fact, the time we can set this window with a php file with lot of tricks and ads can be stopped soon with stricks rules and a new system to handle this.

In its current form JavaScript is needed to deliver the license, so I doubt they would do away with all of it. My guess would be they'll just block new windows from opening.

I dont think JavaScript is needed at all for DRM.

I only use php script inside the window , and i get/post variable for the liscense directly with PHP to comminicate with the DRM provider.

In fact, with my DRM provider i use no JavaScript at all, except for the extra popus or activeX with ads.

If JavaScript is mandatory , what they do with the 20% of ppl with JavaScript turned off? They dont see the liscense or not working? Make no sense.
