Who in here has a good ring tone domain?

I was amazed at all the searches for ring tones last month so I decided to look for a good brand able domain. Every damn domain I came up with was taken.

From RingTopia.com to RingToneTown.com

What ring done domains do you own?

Heh. Format depends on the phone, midi is popular with older polyphonic phones, mp3/wav/pcm etc for newer phones.

But people mainly want the latest song from an artist you've probably never heard of, and recording your own versions of these would attract the wrath of the RIAA. If you were to go the illegal route, might's well just digitize the original recordings.

I sympathize. yes, so many of them are GONE. I sold one, now I want it back. But I've got some ringtone domains, moantone domains and a full portfolio of mobile domains. Most likely I'll be setting up everything under my domain mPorn.com, so I may part with the others down the road.

The good news is the # of mobile affiliate programs is growing fast.

they are a great company and have multiple language sites which are great for filtering foreign traffic to ;-)

Looks interesting, but I started trying it out, and the supported service providers only included Cingular among the major cell providers in my area...Verizon, Sprint T-Mobile, and others aren't listed. I don't know how the ringtone business works, but it seems like that must be a limiting factor to your user reach.
