Need internet connection for the road - GoFuckYourself.com

I have to go on a trip next week. There is no internet connection at the person's home where I am staying. (I need to stay there as someone is sick). The cable modem company won't come out unless I am there and they give a 7 day window which would not guarantee I would be there with my laptop. Verizon wireless requires a 2 year contract but I only need something for 3 days and they don't have broadband cellular there anyway.

I figure I'll just get an AOL account but DAMN that is slow. Are there any other alternatives anyone can think of?

Maybe try jacking someone else's (Neighbor) internet. Most people don't setup security on their wireless networks.

I think Earthlink, AOL, etc. is your only hope.

Heh. I thought of that too. If I turn my laptop on and there is a connection I'll hook up ;-)
