ive got the inspirion 9100.. P4 3gig proc.. pretty much the works.. the 9200s are out now.. the XPS systems are more for gaming..

top end insprion or if you want their deluxe model go with the Latitude
they have a few workhorse type laptops but i think the mass produced ones are tested more |

To be honest, I got a XPS laptop, about $4k and I hate it. I use my HP Pavilion zd7140us instead and its 6 months older, much lower stats, but its quieter, not as hot, twice the battery, easier to use keyboard and mouse layout, it was half the price etc, etc, etc. fuck a dell.
