I don't understand how to get blogs listed highly in SEs.

Feeding it for months with your own orig content sounds like a ton of work with little reward until far down the road, when it's finally ranking well.

you know i started with a blogger setup using ftp but quickly switched over to installing wordpress and customizing it. i like it and it seems to be working real well, not to mention it does the pingomatic stuff for you each time you post.

how long did it take you to see a traffic pickup with your wordpress blogs? i've got one that i want to keep lite on outgoing links and it's very niche specific with mostly no spam on it.
