to vague a question, california is a big state,
I saw a sign the other day on my way to LA, near palm springs that advertised land at 4000$ an acre, thats pretty cheap.
Dont get excited about an answer thats as big as an entire state, that kind of answer is only as good as a 10$ domain, if he had said LA county or orange county you would have something to work with, but as it stands your getting excited over nothing except over zelious imaginations :)

Yes, a good size house here is around 400k to 500k!!! That is a good size, not a big/huge house!!! Just a basic house!!! That is also excluding places like Malibu and Brentwood etc...
