Outlook Express Problem

i've got a problem with OE - getting an error every time i send mail out - the emails just sit in the Out box - but they are getting sent - in droves! so i'm annoying alot of people - i like annoying people but not people i work with and like. so how do i fix this - anybody had a similar problem? Can i un-install OE without un-installing IE? And if i do I need to be sure I can backup my mailboxes.

any help will be appreciated

I just helped some people i work for with this problem the other day
find the file your sent mail is in.. it has likely reached its maximum size almost 3 gigbytes i think...

and it doesn't matter if you have deleted the messages themselves... the file just continues to grow.

so when you send a file.. it is trying to put it in the sent mail folder before sending.. and it just gets stuck in the outbox..

Just delete the file.. and re-open outlook and it will create a new sent mail folder

Aside from that... outlook express isn't that great
if you must us a MS product.. try the regular outlook that comes with MS Office.

thanks - this sounds like it could be the problem except i dont think i have 3GB of mail in the Sent folder.

i'll delete the Sent folder anyway - maybe it's corrupted.
