Top of the second page for one of my most important key phrases (which gets about 75k searches per month according to Overture) and NUMBER 1 for a smaller but VERY targeted key phrase that i've been trying to get for months in Google!

Whoop! My attempts at seo finally gonna pay off ;)

There's lots of good ones around. Checkout the Ambush Interview with WiredGuy ... a wealth of information in there. Also checkout this blog which I'm sure you've seen posted around here before: http://justtraffic.blogspot.com/ some interesting ideas/info on there.

I am just a mere beginner though ... I posted a thread the idea about how I excited I am to have my first site with PR lol ..

The real skill in SEO is telling apart the lies from the truth (many of the lies on the forums are taken as being true by oh so many). However, you'll only achieve that with time, intelligence and the patience to properly anazlyze your own results AND the results from others.

Most people lack the patience and/or logic/intelligence to analyze the stuff properly preferring to believe every bit of BS fed to them on boards.

LOL new MSN SERPs are complete garbage from what I've seen. Most of the top adult results have a random weight set so high on them that if you're in them, it's almost by luck.

Some examples:
