What was I thinking »» Remote Thumbs?

Why did it take me so long to try this system out? I was dreading the whole thing but it was so easy. The hardest part is that I want to signup for all the sponsors again for this project.

The setup was a breeze and now my fake tgp's have a reason to live.

No. I never tried though. i just created a network of 10 to 20K fake ones and didn't care about growing them but I'm creating a new network of real ones and thought I'd try Remote Thumbs as an update option and it looks like it will work great.

Real ones ? How is it going to be different ? You gonna take submittions ?

I guess it depends on your definition of real and fake. My fake ones were never updated. They just sat there and traded minimal traffic. That's why I have a bunch.

My 'real' ones will not take submissions. I don't need that hassle, but they will be updated every day. That's enough to make it real for me.

I'm just gonna take a couple of my larger fake sites and use that traffic base to build them up. Even the fake ones get bookmarks but they obviously only return a few times before they figure it out. Once the sites get updated the bookmarks will grow and so will my trade options.

Wah wah. A million new tgps would not change the internet and surfer habbits. We all push around the same surfers and they're the ones that know about tgp's and mgp's.

10% of existing tgp's probably control more than 80% of tgp surfer traffic. The rest are just trying to get a piece of the EXISTING traffic. It's not like new tgp's invent new tgp surfers.

I agree they are bad for the industry as a whole. Anything free hurts us but ultimately, we can't go back in time. You either adapt or die.

Good post.

We talked to Joe (remote thumbs) and Gonzo, who threw the FFN Ball, at Internext, came home and proceeded to turn our unproductive domains into tgps.

And, the support rocks!

I definitely agree. I dont use it for fake TGP's.. but I use it to add filler content to existing sites. so easy to set up and really just fucking simple. my only complaints would be more niches and better THUMBS. some of them are really crappy. But all in all, it aint nothing that would stop me from using them.

Remote Thumbs is a script that automatically updates your TGP on a daily basis with FHGs using your link codes.

The thumbs come from the sponsors so we have no control over what they send, us we do get several that provide us with exclusive thumbs though, and of course privatly that is who I recomend the most when I am asked about sponsors.

as far as more niches go, tell us what you would like to see ( we have a support forum on the site ) or feel free to e-mail myself [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] and we will gladley get those added for you if the sponsors have enough galleries available to support it.

We are also about a week away from launching a program where we will sell you traffic for you as well ( an affiliate program)

Thanks for the kind words, and please let one of us know if there is ever anything we can do for you to improve your experience with doing business with us .

Remote Thumbs is an excellent program and tool ran by some very good people. It was developed to help not only the gallery and tgp webmasters, but the participating programs in it as well. I have watched it closely from it's beginning, and I believe it is accomplishing it's intended goal and improving everyday. to all the remote Thumbs Team.

not even close, dont get me wrong, comus is great. But what remote thumbs does, is you just fill out your sponsor data, tell it how many rows, columns, etc and place some simple php or shtml in your page and bang, you have a full fake tgp. You can also hit rebuild and it will redo all the thumbs.

Comus is a TGP script where you can upload thumbs, do the thumbs yourself, and manage them based on click productivity.

UH. That's not adapting. That's doing what 10,000 other webmasters are doing. Giving away free porn and running the industry into the ground. Adapting might be learning SE or blogs or something similar where you arent giving away free porn to the masses and making it as easy as possible to surf without actually buying anything.

Another Wah Wah. Not everyone can make tgp's work because of all the competition. I see the problems and make it work for me. That's adapting. Pissing and moaning about something that will never change and sitting in your little box will lead you nowhere.

btw. have you ever actually surfed a tgp? If you're content to whack off to 12 pics from a set then have at it. 100 tgp's can't compete with a quality paysite, and people with credit cards know this. People who rely solely on tgp's for spank material are probably teenagers with no cc or adults with no job and no money. The rest just use it to find their new favorite girl or paysite network.

There's always people on here bitching about tgp's and how there's no money but every month, all the paid spots on the large sites are sold out, and the big guys just keep getting bigger and richer. Where is all this money coming from if tgp's are just full of people looking for free porn?

But all in all, it aint nothing that would stop me from using them.

we have a fix for the ugly thumbs those were done in the beginning of the script. if you right click on a bad thumb and check its properties you can paste the url on our supportforum then we will be able to find the ugly thumb and redo the gallery.

all we need is input so we can weed out bad thumbs. we have fixed a lot already but still some of them slip.

0 because we create thumbs on both sizes. what joe was talking about no control over content is that we find some galleries with low quality pics to save BW but we are weeding those out.
