What can I say? He's one of the guys who gave me some of the best advice when I was a newby. He's also always been a great listener, and understanding when I made a previous fuckup.

I hate the fact that he's dealing with this disease, and I wish him nothing but good health and happiness.

What you were working for JJJ ? I was in his top 5 trades for a good while ... his #1 trade for a bit too :P

Things changed a lot budy :) Gatineau / Hull for the population are now the biggest club cities arround (compared to the population, there are as many clubs as a 500 000 people city) . Ottawa is now full of clubs too .

And there are a couple REALLY good places to eat ... just not steak yet :(

Lone star restaurent is one of them .

The only problem is the after hour scene . Ottawa city is so stucked up ...

I reviewed for JJJ for over four years (right up until he stopped using reviewers..then I went to Webinc) and worked with the Thumblords too. Chances are I have seen and approved or denied the galleries of pretty much everyone here that has been in the industry for that long.

I miss Lisa Marie,etc.

well, I took over the ThumbLords a long time ago, and heh ....... we do still excist and we are looking for new members/gallery reviewers and so on ......... and I could be your Lisa Marie if you want

the timeframe Rob aka The Shemp was referring to, I was a member of the ThumbLords (now I own it) as well and it was not Lisa Marie, but the members of the Thumblords that decided to help one of the most respected persons in this business.
just for the record

after checking old files I cannot find your name ( sarah or webinc ) and JJJ and Shemp were not part of the ThumbLords at the same time, first JJJ was a member and when he left the realm Shemp came in by invitatition of an now ex-member ( lostbush aka ammo ? )

i remember when i first got approved for the thumb lords - i was actually gitty that day i was soo happy - many many years ago!!!!

I was Sjayne then..and I worked for JJJ for four years and then when that stopped I did some stuff for the Thumblords...i got the stuff to Shemp every night :)

That's weird. I did reviews back then for JJJ's (for a little over a year) and was in the Thumblords, back then as well.

I just reviewed...I breifly in like '99 had a tgp but then got involved with Lisa Marie and Les (man, I emailed Les everynight for so many years it is still odd not to) and reviewed for Go Postal for a bit and then JJJ for four years. I briefly reviweed for Lisa Marie and Les's Fetish Island (headed up the reviews there for a bit) and then a bit for Hardbody Cafe but the vast majority I did was for JJJ. Hundreds a day...my screen used to freeze from the bad java on people's galleries atleast three times a day , every day.

For the last year or more I reviewed and then also put all the other reviewers reviews in order when they were done. Reviewing for JJJ paid off from the listings..was good while it lasted.

seriously, most new sites are now thumbpreview, so i wouldnt go that route.
go text. go niche, but go with a niche that you personally like...
somehow you are going to have to separate yourself from the thousands of other new, but faceless sites out there... the concept is simple...."give your surfers a reason to come back every day"
