are any of you sports card dealers?

i'm thinking about dipping into the sports card business as a parttime biz. i was wondering if any of you are/were dealers, and can point me in the direction to some wholesalers. email -> staykeen at aol.com

any advice on the sports card business will be glady taken.. i'm not doing this to make tons of money, but to get back into a hobby that i loved when i was younger. thx in advance

My uncle owns the largest wholesale card distribution in the USA in terms of sheer volume distributed to the wholesale and retail levels. Good luck, margins are very slim.

I'm not a dealer, but I have an extensive collection.

Sports card hobby is fairly dead right now. It'll come back though. It goes in waves.

My buddy did it for a few years...needless to say it wasn't profitable enough to make it last

I owned a card shop back at the peak of the biz...early ninties. I got out just in time as it crashed. Seems to be making somewhat of a comeback, but the only popular cards are the "insert" cards with autographs, uniform pieces etc.
If you are doing it for fun invest in stuff from like 85 and back.
